| New Cellulite Treatment

What is Cellulite?
Cellulite is fat cells, which lie between the skin and the underlying muscle. Fat cells expand with weight gain, and increase the gap between muscle and skin. The skin then becomes less supported, and gets pulled inward toward the interior of the body. This causes the fat cells to increase in number and stick together within the connective tissue fibers, resulting in a dimpling effect.
How does the Accent work?
Weakened connective tissue and diminished microcirculation play key roles in the formation of cellulite. The Accent employs heat to modify the weakened connective tissue and increase microcirculation. It improves cellulite symptoms through deep dermal heating and collagen remodeling. It also increases blood circulation and eliminates fat cells.

Treatment Plan
You will have a consultation with a staff member at Intramed Cosmetics to discuss treatment. During treatment the area will be cleansed, and a lubricant such as baby oil applied. This will assist the hand piece in its movement. A rubbing technique is then employed using the hand piece, to enable rapid, safe and effective treatment. Typical sensation during the procedure is heat, which will build gradually and comfortably. The number of sessions and treatment time is dependant on the area being treated.

Post – Treatment
After the treatment you will feel the fat reducing and the skin tightening. You may also perceive an increase in blood flow to the treated area. This is normal, and it will subside in 24 – 48 hours. Results will become more noticeable as treatments increase.
