Dr. Crouse obtained his medical degree at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 1982.
He emigrated to Canada in January 1991.

The years prior to emigration he worked as a medical officer in hospitals in South Africa, rotating through different departments. This included a 6 month rotation in plastic surgery where he gained experience and interest in procedures like face-lifts, breast reductions, etc.

He also obtained a post graduate diploma in anaesthesiology, which he practiced for approximately 10 years as a family physician.

His long term interest has been dermatology, in particular conditions that can be treated and prevented, like acne and skin cancer.

In the last few years he has attended numerous talks, seminars and courses to improve his skills in the field of cosmetic and aesthetic medicine.

He and his wife, Dr. Strauss, are both members of the CAAM (Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine).
